Left 4 Dead possibly one of the most popular zombie games that will ever release, has got a teaser trailer for Left 4 Dead 3, well yes but also no. Before anyone gets their hopes up for L4D3 it’s not a real trailer, but the trailer looks so real so fans of the franchise have been left disappointed. The game created and published by Valve Corporation back in 2008 grew a fanbase very fast.
The premise behind Left 4 Dead was it was set during the aftermath of a Zombie outbreak; the game has four ‘survivors’ and must fight off masses of infected. There is single player, coop, online and also with AI. DLC’s also released for the game too, and these were just as popular. The game was released for Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and OS X.
Why popularity has recently surfaced to do with the game is because a trailer released and no one knew where it came from. On an unknown channel on YouTube and Left 4 Dead themed trailer released, usually when these types of trailers release, they are leaks of trailers yet to come. However, Valve have confirmed that the trailer is fake and that it is just some fan creation.
Although, the trailer doesn’t have any characters or show the title of the game, key aspects indicate that it is based in the Left 4 Dead universe. A map with the CEDA evacuation location in New Orleans is highlighted, a safehouse door which are key aspects to the original game. The zombie hand at the end indicates very clearly that it is supposed to be Left 4 Dead.
Left 4 Dead 3 was reportedly cancelled a few years ago, but fans and the rebellion still remain hoping that 3 will make an appearance soon enough.
