Telltale Games announced that the company would be closing for good back in November 2018. The studio is well known for the story-based playstyle and multiple-choice game mechanics. One of its most popular games releasing being the Walking Dead games. With the termination of Telltale Games, GOG delisted all of its Telltale Games, now Microsoft has announced they would be doing the same.
Mixing one of the most popular games of all time Minecraft and adding a story mode, where you can connect with characters in the Minecraft universe seemed to be a recipe for success, right? Well not exactly, the way the seasons were split with Minecraft: Story Mode, left players waiting for a long time which ultimately meant that they lost interest in Telltales side of the franchise. In an announcement, the Minecraft team released a statement “On behalf of the publisher, Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Season 1 and 2 will no longer be supported on June 25th, 2019. If you have purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes prior to the service being discontinued in June,”
Seasons 1 and 2 will be not available for download after June 25th, even if the consumer owns them. So, if you are looking for story-based Minecraft adventure, get downloading Minecraft: Story Mode, before it’s no longer accessible.
