A game that is still going strong after 4 years of its release back in 2015 is Rainbow Six: Siege. Since the release of Siege, the franchise has made over $1.12 billion. Not only this but the player base has grown massively with topping around 45million. This figure has increased by 40% since a year ago, this is a massive fluctuation of players wanting to play the game. Ubisoft also announced that it has more than 100million active users, which are unique players on its PC and console games.
Rainbow Six: Siege has a lot of stigma surrounding the game and its player base, often referring to the players as being toxic. However, this cannot be further from the truth, the game is a highly competitive game. This means that players are more susceptible to taking a loss harder. By this, it doesn’t make the player base be more toxic but makes it show how much of an emotional investment the game has impacted people. Although you might find the odd person that isn’t a good sportsman, it is an enjoyable and competitive game which deserves high praise.
Since a decade ago, Ubisoft employee base has skyrocketed from 5,000 to 15,000. A new second Season is coming this quarter for Rainbow Six: Siege’s fourth year. Will you be taking part in the latest Season of Siege?
