A financial call has been made by Electronic Arts, EA, to announce that there will be two new games coming in Autumn (Fall) of 2019. This being from the games very popular franchises; Star Wars and Titanfall.
On Tuesday, the latest game from the Titanfall universe was released, the free to play battle Royale game Apex Legends. However, EA made it very clear that this wasn’t going to be on the only game released from that universe and we will be seeing a new premium game this year, we will hear more about it in the following months. Andrew Wilson, head of Electronic Arts said “Respawn also plans to launch a premium game this year that is a new twist on the Titanfall universe. More to come on that in the months ahead,” the hope is that the Apex Legends game will ‘drive the Titanfall universe forward. A title already announced for the next Star Wars game is, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Although there have been many controversies about EA’s approach to the franchise, excitement for this game is still at its peak. The development for this game will be led by the previous director of the God of War series, not only that but a team of industry professionals from the biggest action-adventure games. Wilson explained that the game is already deep into development, he played the game and found it is exceptional and polished.
“It’s very far along in development, and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well. This game truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi, and we will have a lot more to share soon.” proceeding onto say “It is exceptional in terms of its level of polish depth and living inside of the Star Wars world as a Jedi,”
All we know about this major title is that it will be a third-person, single player action game and also very tellingly will be considered canon in the Star Wars universe.
